I have had a hacking cough for 3 weeks now, I feel fine health wise other then the fact I have little energy, The cough started with feeling very ill with a fever of 100.1, then over about 3 days I slowly felt better, Except the cough has not gone away at all and has only gotten worse I am now to the point of having severe coughing fits every 20 minutes with vomiting about 25% of the time due gagging on phlegm and my abdomen flexing so hard,
(sometimes it feels like im going to break a rib.) After these coughing fits, i feel like i can't breath at all and can only take very small breaths. Im 25 yrs old and a smoker, but not since I have been sick, I smoke a little pot as well, But also not since I have been sick.

The Dilemma is i Don't have insurance, so it would entail a visit to the ER for me to see a Dr.
Is this something I can wait out? Or should i see someone for treatment.
