My wife has been have dizzy spells for almost a year. The spells have had differing degrees of severity.Symtoms include a pressure on the top of head and behind eyes when turning head from left to right and climbing stairs. While driving she would come to stop but things around her appeared to still be moving. A couple of times she had the sensation of almost blacking/passing out. E.N.T. says there is nothing wrong with her ears. Neurologist says it is not a neuro problem but had MRI done to prove his point. MRI came back normal . All three doctoors can not give us a dirrection to pursue. My wife is a proffessional driver and has not been behind the steering wheel for 6 months.

At loss to problem

  • I would see a neurotologist. They know a lot more then an ENT would when it comes to balance issues.

  • Get her B12 levels checked, and get the exact number. B12 def. can cause neurological damage and is easily treated. Does she have any unusual sweating? Does she actually faint? Does she get migraines? Is she taking any medications? DOM

  • OMG! I jus read the thing about the cell phones and everthing blaze was talkeing about. That's what has been wrong with me all these years! Let me just say my storey real quick and i'm sorry to the person who is havin so much trouble. In 2004 me and my husband and the kids (11 in our family!!!!!!!!!!we cant seem to quit havin em but we luv em all) moved to sparta Georgia and the mobile home we rent is right under those great big metal power lines from the main station and then they went a put a cell phone tower almost in our front yard by the dirt road where you come onto the property. anyway, ever since then the kids have all be sick with stuff and i have been sick too. The doctors cant tell me what it is, but my teeth all started falling out and i keep getting this rash all over my bottom side (doctor at the health clinic said it was lime disease but I told him we had no limes and i dont like sour stuff anyway so it would not be it) and legs and arms all hurt where they bend. I told my husbnad he would have to start cuttin the grass for himself because i cant get on the lawn tractor no more. i cant wait to go to the doctors come monday and tell them all what stupid idiets they are for not knowing what blaze just said on here about the cell phone and power line thing. thats it i just know it. we were all never sick before moving under the power lines and when the cell phone thing got put in, we got even sicker. the kids are out of school like almost two times a week and even my husband said his tummy has been soured more since moving here. doctors today are just god-durned idiets and i am so glad i found this place!!!!!!! yayyyyyy!!!!!! you all are the best. thank you

  • http://www.menieres-disease.ca/menieres_signs_symptoms.htm Dunno if this is what it is, my sister was diagnosed with this after many years of Dr not knowing what was causing her dizziness & vertigo symptoms. They think she got it from a virus of the middle ear which controls balance and can cause dizziness. She has to be careful not to move too fast, her hearing gets messed up @ times & her balance is totally off-kilter when she is in a flare. She cant be near water where she can see it on both sides of lets say a dock or she gets really dizzy. This menieres disease causes her to have panic attacks cus she is afraid to travel for fear that she will have a dizzy spell or fall, traveling is a nightmare cus she can see other cars whizzing by can set the menieres off. Good luck hon As EvErCat

  • Since her symptoms are when she turns her head to the left and with climbing stairs(which hyper-extends her neck),I am worried about vertebral-basilar artery blockage or compression on it by bone spurs in her neck,Has she had a neck injury? How old is she ?Does she have any other symptoms that indicate poor circulation?
