I'm totally fed up. For almost 3 years, I have experienced the following sypmtoms to varying degrees. It's my belief that they are related, however my GP insists on separating out the sypmtoms and attributing the causes to other things. She has now referred me to an Endocrinologist because she says she can't figure it out and has more or less asked me if it's all in my head!!
Night Sweats just before period (more severe up to a year ago, eased a bit now)
Hot Flushes (since last year)
Irregular more frequent periods (gradual change until summer last year, all over the place now)
Spotting in between periods.
Worsening PMS - and for longer - cramping, tender breasts, spots (like a teenager again)
Skin crawling on my back - itchy - think it's hormonal cos had it when pregnant too.
Bloated / Full / Heaviness in abdomen & pelvic area
Dragging sensation on one side or the other - around time of ovulation & now also menstruation.
More recently - with last period, quite a lot of pubic hair loss. Didn't happen with current period though.
Change in the smell of menstrual blood - not bad, just different.
I've had full blood works done last year (normal) and internal sonograph (ok, 1 ovary slightly smaller than expected, but still normal). Blood pressure tested last month was low - never been low before.
Am due more bloods tomorrow to test for menopause (I'm 36) and adrenal insufficiency.
History of bowel cancer in the family. Petrified of ovarian cancer or other women's cancer....
Am I right to be so worried??? Has anyone else experienced these symptoms through menopause?
