My two year old daughter has major problems but no doctor wants to help!! They can't seem to tell me what's wrong. Well it all started with chronic constipation. Now she has all of the following megacolon, ulcers in colon, acute colitis, low iron, no bowel movement in 20 days, abdominal distention, is eating very little and has lost weight. I'm desperat and need some type of diagnosis.

  • Ulcerative Colitis! It sounds like you had a colonscopy done, since you know she has ulcers. They should have been able to give you a pointer then? In the mean time you should try heailingwell.com. They have a great resource there for people with UC. UC can present itself in many ways (diarreah or constipation), but the megacolon is always assosiated with UC. You can also have the disease without bleeding, but usually there is some amount of mucous, that will show up in a bowel movement or while passing gas.Good luck!
