Recently I have noticed that if I am outside and come inside the body part which is uncovered gets unusually hot and goes bright red.
Also if i lean for example on a metal pole which is cold and then take my arm away after a few moments that areas goes really hot and red.
Does anyone have any ideas????

  • That sounds pretty cool actually (no pun). Any Eskimo heritage? Just kidding (well you might be very reactive and adaptive to the cold...). I mean, is it hurting you or what? You could try relaxing your core or other extremities to change the smooth muscle allotting blood to your extremities.

Does anyone have any ideas????When you are out in the cold, especially when your hands and feet get cold, the blood moves toward the center of your body to keep you warm. Then, when you warm back up, the blood goes back to your extremities-- this part can cause redness and a warm feeling. This is the body's natural response to cold and not something to worry about, however......It's really a matter of degree.....if it's mild for you and not painful or staying red for very long, I wouldn't worry about it (normal). On the other hand, if it stays red, is painful at all or turns any other color-- I would go to the doc. Some vascular conditions can show up first in the hands and feet. There is also a disorder out there called Reynaud's Syndrome. You might want to google that term and see if any of it hits home for you.In either case, wear gloves and good socks to protect your extremities. It really is important!
