genital warts

i went to my doctor recently because i noticed a bump down below, and it turned out to be a wart. just one, and its less than 5mm in diameter. my doctor tried freezing it off, just once, then said it would have to be surgically removed at considerable cost by a gynaecologist.

what i want to know is should i be going to another doctor and asking for a chemical option? the freezing did reduce it in size by about 25% but my doctor is not answering any of my questions about treatment alternatives to surgery. i was wondering if anyone knew if chemical treatments actually work? i have been to the doctors over six times in the past month due to a work accident and i'm just about ready to cut the thing off myself with scissors to avoid going back!

also, a lot of websites say not to use over-the-counter medicine to treat genital warts but they fail to mention exactly why - does anyone know?

  • ask for ispahulga husk. i think that this is at least close to the correct spelling.it is very good,in most cases, but as it is a corrosive,it may be thought to be best to keep it out of non professional hands.also, because it is a well established treatment it may now be regarded as out of date.it is ground up husk of a tropical nut (?)in suspension.you dab a tiny drop onto the wart.then you leave it for four hours.(this may differ according tothe strength of the mixture in your particular case.---check----leave it too long andyou will burn yourself an extra eye.wash it off thoroughly. over the next weekthe wart will grow increasingly colourless.after a week, repeat the process.success depends on the thing being a bona fide wart, caused by human papilloma virus.if it does not disappear,or at least visibly respond, after three treatments there is a chance it is something else.so get it checked and biopsied if things work out that way.cancer of the penis is rare, and your doctor may not recognise it in its early stages.best thing to do is to get yourself to a g.u .m.clinic without delay.h.p .v. is caught by contact with an infected person. it is much more dangerous for a woman than it is for a man.it is imperative that you find your contact,as she may well be unaware that she is infected.tell her to get it checked.and dont have sex with anyone until this clears up.after that it is condoms for you ,old chap, because you will carry that virus to your dying day, moreover,i would advise an aids test.if you were exposed to one virus, you may have been exposed to others.ispahulga husk sounds like real witch doctor stuff, but used properly it works very well.just remember to observe the time limits, and to wash thoroughly after the allotted time.good luck.dont taste it.

  • You could maybe have laser. I don't know why the freezing did not work. I think you should go to another doctor. Please don't treat yourself. Once they clear it up, you should be fine, but you have to get it taken care of before it spreads.

  • your wart seems to be tough to kill, as were mine.I had a case so severe it had affected my cervix.I would not let it go any longer than neccesary.I was only 15 when I had just one wart...didn't treat it and it spread like crazy.I had laser surgery and now 16 years later the issue of sesation is still bothering me.If only I had that one wart removed by laser to begin with.Never put this off as you don't want to lose sensitivity in this area of your body:mad: I am telling you it's got to be removed soon before it travels towards your anus...then each BM becomes painful also.I hope you find a way to have this done soon.Let us all know how it goes.

  • I had this at 15 and I let it go for about 3 months...the acid treatments were useless...and painful.I am sur laser surgery is the best possible treatment.DO it now before it gets worse...the more warts the deeper they go and this means deeper laser treatment.Your sensitivity can be affected so you shouldn't wait any longer to treat this. Please use condoms evytime you have sex as this hpv virus is life-long.I take a pill(Valtrex) everyday to avoid another outbreak.I have vot had any outbreaks since the laser removal. The surgery is same day and pretty much painless.Good luck with everything and let us know how it goes.

  • Hi I had the disease treated very effectively over ten years ago and have never had a recurrence, by wart paint! I saw a sexual health practitioner who specialised in this treatment.Painless, a little messy at first but extremely effective!
