something gives me headaches behind my eyes for a year or so. I experience stomach pains and alot of belching. My HIDA scan came in at 9 %. I also have dry eyes and i feel hot in face all time and somehow my skin is sensitive to sunlight. Dont have rosacea. Did every blood work possible> Ct scans. ALl normal. Only thing i have come up with is gallbladder not functioning and have heard it can cause some of these symptoms. Any ideas on whether or not i should get this out. I have been to alot of doctors and did alot blood work and cant find nothing as to why i have what i have. It really is weird. Can someone help me?

Can someone help me?I am a RN and worked closely with a surgeon for several years. I have seen many gall bladder cases and you most likely have a diseased gallbladder. Your HIDA scan results confirm that your gall bladder is not functioning properly and not getting it out could lead to serious and very painful gallbladder attacks even if you don't have stones presently. The earlier you have the surgery the less likely you will have complications and the more likely you will be able to have it laproscopically rather than the old "open" method. You should see a general surgeon to discuss it soon.

  • so your saying headaches etc...feeling hot can happen to some gallbladder patients. Going to get appointment with suregeon really soon. I just would never thought diseased gallbladder would possibly cause headaches but i have read that it can from what others write etc...I guess i am not digesting proper nutrients for my skin also because i flush so easily as well. No rosacea either....

  • I'm sorry, but I am not positive about the headaches and skin problems. those are not textbook symptoms related to gallbladder problems. Nonetheless, you will still need to have the surgery most likely and hopefully it will solve the other problems. Good luck!
