I haven't had my normal voice for 2 months. Most of the time I dont have it at all and other times its sounds very weak and jittery. I was admitted in the hospital and had tests including my thyroid, white cell count, x ray and CT scan of lungs and other blood test that all come back normal. ENT did the scope thing and looked at my vocal cords and determined that neither side of my vocal cords are working and is convinced that its a problem with the nerves. I am very tired all the time, weak, ache in my muscles all over and run low grade fever most of the time for the last 2 months. Headaches have been persistant for 9 months I have been treated with 4 different antibiotics but no signs of infection anywhere.I have seen ENT, Cardioligist, Neurolegist, and my family doctor. They are wanting to refer me to the Mayo Clinic but my finances will not allow me to travel and afford motels. Also,I have been diagnosed with fibromyagia about 9 months ago and I take Lyrica which doesnt help me. I am 42 years old. Any help will be much appreciated.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
