Has anyone experienced this or have any advice?

Help! I recently showed a Negative MRI report and my WC doctor has released me back to full duty. I am constantly in pain and my overall quality of life is dramatically diminished. I "was" diagnosed with a thoracic sprain, and since the MRI was clean and showed no correlation between my vertebra and the pain I experience, my WC doctor told me "his hands are tied" and HAD to release me back to full time duty. He also could no longer provide me with medication.

I have been struggling with debilitating pain for over 2 years and no one seems to be able to diagnose or help me. I have sought physical therapy, paid "out of pocket" for chiropractic care, and nothing seems to work. I have seen 2 primaries, 2 WC doctors, 4 specialists and I am still undiagnosed.

A physical therapist was convinced the pain I have is a result of my left scapula being three inches higher than my right. I walk tilted to one side and have severe neck pain with constant headaches. However, neither my WC doctor, or my primary will approve more than two weeks of physical therapy, or provide me with ANY medication.

I attempted to go back to my primary and receive treatment from him, but he is now convinced I am a drug seeking patient. Him and his staff are now rude and standoffish with me and "hurry" me out the door. I am frustrated, in pain, and seem to have nowhere to go. Does anyone know a good doctor in the Orange county area who may finally be able to help me? Thanks!

  • FYI: I also experience intermittent lumbar pain w/sciatic due to a 17% scoliosis. I also have been diagnosed with moderate degenerative disk disease in my cervical spine. However, I can deal with these issues by seeing my very trusted chiropractor and OTC's. My concern is the constant pain delivered from my thoracic injury and doctors thinking I am crazy. When I was 29 years old, I was in the best shape of my adult life. I weighed 135 lbs, BMI of less than 1% and rock climbed daily. Now I am stuck at desk getting fat! Any advice is most appreciated!

  • All I can recommend is to find another Doctor, if the current one is not taking you seriously. I really feel for you I know how difficult it is to be in constsnt pain. :mad:What about the good old days of Doctors not relying on all these tests to confirm illness.................using common sense and being understanding is lacking in the medical field these days. I wish you the best of luck, keep pushing for help :)Samanthahttp://www.undiagnosedillness.org
