I am a forty year old female in good health. In September of this year I was diagnosed with reactivated mononucleosis (which I didn't know I had before). At this time my doctor also treated me with antibiotic as strep titre was high.
After I started to feel a little bit better in October, I noticed I had joint pain in both elbows, and all joints were generally sore all of the time. I was still fatigued and just figured it takes a while to get better. Also had discharge from the eye that was not pinkeye - eye doctor said it was allergy.
The pain has gotten worse and aches so badly in one elbow that I can't perform daily functions (I have a desk job, and generally do not perform heavy lifting). My blood work came back this week negative for arthritis markers, but my ASO titre was high. By the time I got the lab results back, my arm began to feel warm, numb and like a toothache, and I started to feel fatigued and sick all over. Still no fever.
I have been on cephalosporin (sp?) for a week and my head hurts, stomach is killing me and now I have fatigue that comes in the morning and the evening that requires me to sit down. I am going to a Rheumatologist next month.
I want my life back. Anyone had symptoms like this?
