ok, i hate to make a new thread but my friend wont go to doctors and he wont even go to websites like this to ask whats wrong so heres whats going on:

about 4 months ago my friend and i were going to the mall, we were just looking at all these shoes when all of a sudden he just started sweating like crazy. so i was asking what was wrong and he just told me he was going to the bathroom.

so about 30 mins go by and i check my phones messages (i check them once every 30 mins) and i got a message from him saying that he was sorry and he was sick and he had to go home. told me to forget about it so i did.

then i find out (about 2 months later) that he had passed out and was rushed to the hospital. what had happened was he fell over and was throwing up a lot, the message i got was from another one of his friends. but thats all i remember hearing.

he was fine and his normal self. then yesterday we were hanging out at a friends house and he got a MASSIVE migraine, well thats what we think it was. he said these things were happening during the "migraine":

Hallucinations
Blurred Vision
Light beaming off things (like if he stared at a chair it looked like light was radiating off of it)
Cramping in the ribs and stomach
Flickering Lights at random times
Tingling in hands feet and face (around the eyes)
and Vomitting

i have read that Hallucinations are a very BAD sign of migraines. so we pretty much ordered him to go to the doctors today. but he wouldn't go.

anybody know whats wrong? i hate to say this but i hope there is something wrong (not bad but mild, mild enough that he realises that he needs to see a doctor)

thanks in advance and ill keep updated with what ever other symptoms he gets.

  • I believe that your friend may be suffering from pseudotumor cerebri. This is a chronic condition that there is no cure for. There are many medications that help to control the condition. Spinal taps are also used to relieve the symptoms. The only way to diagnois the condition is to have a spinal tap done where they measure the spinal fluid pressure in your spine. The condition places the same amount of pressure on the back part of the brain as a brain tumor would. All of the symptoms you describe are all symptoms of this condition. Our daughter has this condition. It is very important to seek medical treatment as soon as possible. While the condition can go into remission at times there is no cure for the condition. The condition is very painful because of the horrible migraines and frequent visits to the eye doctor are neccisary since this condition causes visual problems and sometimes blindness. The condition places pressure on the optic nerve and damages your vision. I hope that your friend seeks medical help so to have this condition evaluated. Best of luck and God Bless!

  • I think your friend could be going through 'the change'. Men go through it too, you know. Hallucinations and those flickering lights especially are hallmark symptoms of it. Diarrhea, too - classic male menopause. I think it's from a drop in testerosterone. Little Minx.......u've just been blazed............lol think shes on the Fire Water or Rocket Fuel. • The big article that recently came out in the newspapers is how medicine is in our drinking supply. That it is expelled through people's urine and then gets recycled back into our water supply...tons of it. Of course, they say it can't hurt you because it's so small...even a small amount of someone's meds is too much for me. I go to the water store that has $100,000 filters.
