  • After having misdiagnosis and many problems left unchecked..I am reminded of a man my mom used to date back in the late 70s. He was diagnosed with diabetes and after being on a juicing and only organic foods (no processed anything- If it came off a produce shelf or grew from the earth..it was all he ate.) He steamed vegetables every night and used kelp to add taste to foods. He juiced celery juice and used the celery to cook oats in. Fruits and nuts..He got rid of the diabetes. cured. I also remembered other amazing things. How healthy he looked and how his body responded to a gash in his head. It was practically healed 24 hours later. I was amazed as a kid because you knew that gash was going to take at least a good week or two to heal. But nope..that memory sticks with me today...I have not seen that man since about 1982. But I am aware he is alive and looks well today. I think he was about 35 back then. I saw a picture..he looks like he's about 55..and I think he's really 72.So..in my own health issues...I have recently bought a juicer and am amazed at how well beets, carrots, apples, pear and celery taste so good together. We had a juicer which was so hard to clean and was noisy, and would constantly get off balance and bounce off the counter. We saw a deal for the Jack LaLanne 10 year anniversary juicer (2 for 1) and we compared it to how our current one works..and bought it.For sure!!! It juiced 30% more juice out of it at twice the speed... and is super quiet and takes 1/3 the time to clean it. Plus we got more flavor out of it. It is very solid feeling and the design of it is so much better than other juicers..it puts all the pulp out the back instead of you having to clean out a drum after you make one glass like the other juicer. Because the shute is wider you can put a lot of things whole sized right into it.We fill about five 8oz cartons in less than 10 min and we freeze them for the week. It was such a time saver compared to the old one. I take a carton out of the freezer every morning on my way to work and in about an hour..I drink it.With my health issues (hypothyroid and lichen sclerosis) I have had tremendous energy improvements...as my body gets and immediate infusion of all the good enzymes without expending the energy to digest for it...which leaves more energy to heal.

  • Hi Craig,It depends what your stomach problem is. If it is reflux (just guessing, since its a common problem), then fresh juices are probably not the best, as some of them are quite acidic (eg. orange). But on the other hand, if it does appear to help your condition then there is probably no harm in it. At the very least, you're getting a good dose of vitamin C :)
