I am 22 year old male suffering from frequent urination/pressure sensation, going to the rest room is no longer relief but a chore. Someone please help, I am at my wits end and if I dont find relief soon im afraid I will go off the deep end. There is no pain when I urinate.
This started back in June 2008, when I noticed I was urinating more frequently at night. I visited my general physician and he examined my prostate and he thought it may have been slightly enlarged, and referred me to a urologist. I saw a urologist he said my prostate was normal, did a urine flow test, and a voiding test to make sure all the waste was gone after relieving myself. He found the stream was low and the output was low for someone my age and that a normal amount of urine remained after the voiding test. He then performed a cystoscopy to examine the inside of my bladder. He was unable to find any source of the problem no stricture
The urologists keep passing me off to others in their practice. They took a sample of my urine as well to rule out UTI and highblood pressure, both of which were fine. He concluded it must have been over active bladder however after trying multiple medications for weeks on end (detrol LA, dtiropan, and vesicare) there was no improvement so he sent me to another specialist.
He scoped me and found the bladder neck was slightly larger that it was supposed to be, which according to a forum member here was the source of this exact same problem. However, he was not certain it was large enough to be the source of the problem. In his opinion surgery on it was a 50/50 toss up.
