hi, I have been dealing with frequent urination for several months, doctor prescribed some blood work, everything was good except liver enzymes were slightly elevated, urine test was normal. she recommended not to drink alchohol and eat healthier, by the way I am 24 years old, 6'4, 127 pounds, don't drink or smoke and I tried to avoid junk food as much as possible. Pelvic exam came back normal (been married for 5 years).
Frequent urination, sudden pelvic pain and groin pain (burning) were still bothering me when the doc decided to check for mononucleosis, she said that it came positive, that I had mono, but a few weeks pass and I was going to the bathroom at least 4 times during bed time, so I decided to visit another doc, this one said I didn't have mono that the results were showing a past infection, so he put me in antibotics for 10 days, but still....have frequent urination, pelvic and groin pain that cames and goes, lower back pain and my pelvic area seems to be a little swollen like if Iam 4 months pregnant, but I know Iam not.
also in between docs one send a ultrasound of the pelvis (it showed a simple beningn cyst) and abdomen ultrasound (showed a small lesion in the pancreatic tail, likely a benign finding), doc said not to worry about this.
if anybody has any advice, Iam really tired of keep going to de doctor.
by the way did another blood work and liver enzymes were back to normal.

  • I'm also very interested in the causes of frequent urination. My Nephrologist says that it's nothing to worry about and that my one kidney, (i recently found out that i was born with only one) is perfectly healthy. But i can't even get a good nights sleep anymore - almost once an hour i wake up to go. Sometimes once every 30 min... I miss the days when i could sleep all night.
