Age 66 white male having had robotic surgery for prostate removal approx 4 years ago. I just started have symptoms of the need to urinate frequently about two days ago. The sensation comes in waves every 10 minutes or so. I do not suffer from post-op incontinence and have no pain or burning when voiding. I had a similar problem approx 18 mos. ago but the symtoms subsided within a week. What do you think?

What do you think?Dear Mike~Have you been to all of your follow up appointments, and regular yearly exams? If you haven't gone to the doctor yet about this, then please do. It's possible you have a bladder, urinary track, or kidney infection. Any other symptoms? What kind of meds are you on?Do you sleep and eat well? What about smoking and alcohol?Drink lots of water, and flush your system- this may help. Respond back soon, and good luck.

My PSA has been "zero" since 10/03 when prostate was removed and it's checked once a year. The last check was 9/06. As to meds....Lipitor, Benicar and occasionally nexium. Haven't seen a doc yet but I suspect it may just be a spasm.
