Frequent muscle spasms

For a while now, I've been having problems with some aggrivating muscle spasms in various locations. At the time of this writing, (and it's been going on since some time yesterday, on and off) there's an uncontrollable twitch/spasm in what appears to be the left side of my face, up towards the top of my nose. Two days prior, I'd been having some very uncomfortable bubbling/spasm going on around the bottom of my ribcage right where it connects. These types of symptoms aren't entirely uncommon with me, but they're driving me to a point of worry. Any insight on what it could possibly be would be appreciated.
