Foul Smell

I have had this problem since I was 11 (when I began puberty) and now I am 15 and I still have it. The problem is that I have this foul smell which is coming from me. My friends have commented on it a few times and few random people too so I got sick of it and went to my GP to get checked up back when I was 13 and he said nothing was wrong with me. This problem remained and people still noticed it but I can't smell it myself and neither can my family so I can't tell you where it is coming from. I got really *****d of it so I went and got checked again 4 weeks ago and the doctor said that nothing was wrong with me and it was probebly puberty. I know it is not puberty and my friends aren't joking with me because even people at my old school told me that I smelled bad so it is not my mind!

FWI, I am very hygienic. I shower atleast once a day with soap and shampoo and use deodrents w/ anti-prespirant. I never wear my clothes for more than 3 days and I shave my armpit and my pubic hair when the hair gets long. I don't know if this is the case but I masterbate once every two days and sometimes everyday but I doubt that is my problem as I immediatly clean myself after finishing.

I drink about 1.2 liters of water everyday and try and eat 1 fruit everyday or two. I also don't eat food with curry, onions or garlic often.

Does anyone know what is wrong with me and how can I fix myslef up? Does anyone else have these symptoms and if you do or did , can you post how this started and if it is gone, how you got rid of it?

That is all for know, I will update this thread if I can think of anything else to write. If you need more information feel free to ask me anything.

  • Grabbed this from another forum. Might be of use to you.Bad odor is mostly of sweat which may be seen in anxiety, obesity, allergies, eczema, psoriasis, synthetic fibers and warm temperatures. It is also seen in excessive sweating or hyperhydrosis.Hyperhydrosis may be primary (without known cause and usually starts during childhood or adolescence and persists all life) or secondary (as part of an underlying condition like Hyperthyroidism or similar endocrine diseases and dermatological conditions like eczema, psoriasis). I think getting a thyroid profile tested in the lab may help and also please consult a dermatologist to find out the confirmatory diagnosis as treatment depends on the same.

  • Thank you Chad for posting. My anxiety might the source of the smell but I am not sure about it. It might be my thyroid that has a problem so I will check with my GP as soon as possible. Also, I don't think I would need to see a dermatologist as my skin looks normal and I hardly sweat so I doubt that I have hyperhidosis. If anyone else has anymore usefull information, posting it would be greatly appreciated.thank you.
