I'm writing for my boyfriend. He is a 27 year old university student, former greek-roman wrestler and we live in Greece.
Five years ago he started swelling occasionally (for one to three days), most time in one or both feet, less usually in one or two hands, three times in the lips (in combination with the hands) and one time in the left cheek.
We noticed thath many of the times he was swelling when he had fever or was tired. His feet also swell when it is hot and he is walking a lot.
He went to a doctor and he said it is allergies, but I think the diagnosis is not right.
If it was allergy in a food, he would be swelling much more often (in a period of 5 years he has swallen about 15 times), we eat the same 7-10 kinds of meals alla the time.
The swelling is just swelling that hurts when you touch it, it is not red or smelly.
If anyone has any idea, please tell us something.
I'm starting to think that maybe it is something autoamune (not that I know much of these things). He is currentry on an anti-allerging pill, we are waiting to see if he will become normal again.
Thanks in advance for any answer
