I had an ingrown hair on my elbow and I picked it out. It scabbed over and it seems to have grown what seems to be a wort. It seemed to have a dense/tough layer of skin over after the scab fell off and I picked that off too. It then became an endless picking of the tough skin which resulted in a raised flaky dome bump. Since then I have left it alone.
My first thought was it was a common wart found on hands, elbows, etc. However it doesn't look like a wart from pictures I've seen on the web, nor do it have the distintive black dot in the middle. It's been 6 months and is has not grown more than the size of a 1/2 a BB for a BB Gun. It's very flaky and does not itch. It's very semetrical and round.
I rest my elbow on my desk at work and it rubs on my desk all day at work... Wondering if this could be a wart and should be tended to before it spreads. What is your opinion?
