I live in the US and came back to the UK at Xmas and within 2 days I had very painful stools, not small, normal size but hard to pass.

Went back to the US dissapeared back to normal.

Am back again due to a bereavement in the family and hey presto within 2 days back here the ***n symptoms are back no stomach pain just feels like the lining of my Anus is ripped apart and there is no blood either?

Not a pleasant topic but any advice I would be grateful for I did buy some DULCOEASE yesterday not much differance as yet except a dry mouth.

  • Yeah, sounds like a fissure to me. Sometimes they bleed, sometimes they don't, but they are no fun. I get them often and was really startled yesterday by one that was a real "bleeder". Not a pleasant picture or topic, but the pain was much more unpleasant. Good luck with the ducolax or stool softener. I have never tried one, but maybe it wuldn't be such a bad idea...I've heard that fiber supplements or a diet higher in fiber may be the long term key to reducing fissure occurance due to the lessening of straining. Just something to think about maybe?
