Hey just wondering if anyone can help. I'm 20 years old male and my finger nails over the past years have really started to get bad. I'm getting horizontal ridges that are very bad. One by one they are showing up on all my fingers. Most people say it's a vitiaman defic. hoever I am very healthy and eat well and take lots of vitamans. most doctors have just blown me off and said it's no big deal. Finally I pushed one doctor to do a blood test because I has read that it could be problems with my kidneys of other internal problems. however test came back and showed nothing abnormal. Does anyone know someone that can find me help? I really hate my nails. If you can please post here or email me at garybpilot1@yahoo.com thank you

  • Horizontal ridges can occur as a result of severe stress, either psychological orphysical, such as from infection and/or disease. Ridges running up and downthe nails also indicate a tendency to develop arthritis. But first, go get a manicure. Lot's of guys get them. They can buff out the ridges. Take your vitamins. Are you a pilot? Un-stress your life. Do yoga or biofeedback. Get a massage when you have the manicure.
