I am a 32 year old white female with progresive parasthesia of the fingers. It started 6 weeks ago first in my feet and progressed all the way up my legs. After about 7-10 days the feet and legs resolved and my fingers became involved. It started with just the pinkies and spread to all four fingers on both hands (the thumbs are spared for now). The fingers have been numb for 5 weeks and seem to be getting worse, not better.
I have had the usual work up inc. Lymes, B-12, thyroid, Lupus etc. I also had an EMG which was normal {I don't understand how.}
In the last few weeks I have had some other problems as well. I had strep throat 3 weeks ago and finished a 10 day course of Augmentin. Last week I was in the ER for Pleurisy. I am told it is unrelated, but all I know is I was healthy 6 weeks ago.
Right now I do not know what to do.
