Help! I am a 25 year old girl who has had vaginal pain for almost 10 months!! At first, I didn't even notice it, but when I went in for a routine gyno exam it was excruciating when they put the speculum in, and around that time I also bled after sex. I also experienced the feeling like I had to pee during sex. They've tested me for all different kinds of yeast, every STD/STI imaginable (though I told them an STD wasn't likely), and everything has come up negative!
The problem has gone through phases of getting a little bit better - then getting worse again. For instance, I was able to have sex without pain in early January, but after a couple days the pain returned.
I've also had urinary frequency, slightly painful urination, and digestive/intestinal problems on-and-off, if that makes any difference.

Any ideas would be helpul!

  • First of all what kind of pain are you having, is it throbbing, deep, buring?when you pee what kind of pain is it, burning?do you have any pain in your abdomen? sounds like it could be a kidney stone or a large cyst. have you had an ultrasound? I suggest that you get a new GYN since this one is not helping. is your urine foggy and/or have an unpleasent smell to it? Do you have any abnormal vaginal discharge?Have you had children recently?

  • try a herpes 2 blood test; I think it's an std that they can't find; get a pap, too.

  • Could be vaginismus. Please research online there is a website called www.vaginismus.com (I think). This can cause very painful intercourse. It is an involuntary tightening of the vaginal muscles, and can be cured by simple exercises... I had this about 6 years ago, when I was with my current husband for the first time. I did the exercises and it went away within a short amount of time. I would also recommend trying acupuncture to help with this, as well as your urinary issues. Very helpful. Best wishesDOM

  • I have foggy urine, pain during sex(sometimes), very strong weird smell...kinda like a soft chlorine smell, frequent urges, discharge, irregular periods, no children, and i am highly anemic. A while ago I had to have an ultrasound done on my ovaries and they said that there was fluid in there& that it might've been from a cyst, but they werent sure. they told me i should be fine. Its been prob 2 yrs now. I always have UTIs. I neeed help!!!

  • it took me about 16yrs to get a diagnosis of interstitial cystitis. It is a bladder disease. I had utI"s all the time, abdominal pain, painful intercoarse, bowel problems, spotting after sex, burning while uranating, feeling like you have to pee and hardly anything comes out. Some times sex is fine other times it's painful. I'm still trying to figure it all out. maybe this will help.
