Hi all

My girlfried is having some symptons and I find the general multitude of possibilities a bit boggling.

Anyway, she's having problem forming sentences at the moment, words fail her when she's talking. She's also been having some head aches and she says that at times has problems hearing too. Her balance is iffy too. She says she feels stoned all the time.

I've told her to go see a doctor, but I thought I would see what you guys had to say.

Thanks

Syn

  • Hi, how old is ur gf? does she have any past problems? how long has she been having these symptoms? does she remember banging her head against the wall or sumthing sharp recently if yes what part ? I'm 21 YO and i've been feeling off-balance for 5 months now. wen it first happened i used to describe it feeling high as well. recently i've noticed that whenever its quiet and i feel slight vibration in my left ear if i touch or move any part of my body. i recently also remembered that i banged the back left part of my head against a doorknob and i started feeling off balance a week after and then i ended up in the emergency room where they cat-scanned my head n ran some tests but couldnt find anything wrong with me. i guess it was just anxiety from feeling off-balance.. she shud prolly see an ENT after having some tests.. let me know more about her

  • Has she started any new medicines right before this started? Some medicines (whether OTC or RX) can cause these symptoms. If not, I would get her to the doctor (either general or Neuro) and have her checked...you can never be too careful.
