My name is Dean. I am 23 years old, have a good job, my own apartment and a great fiance.
But I have been feeling horrible for quite some time now and I can't seem to put my finger on what it could be. I think that I have some ideas, but I'd really like to bounce them off of you guys before I go in and see a doctor. Here it goes:
My eating habits have never really been great. They are better than most people my age I think, but they still are not great. Anyway, I suffer from GERD, and before I was medicated, I ate very little, not because I had a small appetite (I could eat with the best of 'em), but because I didn't want to deal with the acid. Once I became medicated, I discovered that beer seemed to help in moderate amounts as well, so I began drinking a bit more than I should, and began eating ALOT for 2 years with no problems.
Well, recently, I have been feeling awful, and my appetite has been reduced more than halfway. I can't even eat half as much as I used to be able to eat without beeling uncomfortably full for 10 hours. I have since changed my diet to the following:
Lipton Pure Leaf Tea
Gatorade (occasionally due to High Fruct Corn Syrup)
Vegetables w/ regular salad dressings
Pure Dark Chocolate
Steak + Grilled Chicken (occasionally)
French Onion Soup
I have been on this for 5 days, and my appetite hasn't increased, but I seem to be able to not get uncomfortablly full as long as I'm careful to eat slow and realize when I'm full (way too soon for my portions).
Well, last night I went to a party and had the following:
Chopped cold peppers
chopped cold broccoli
A few crackers
1 bite size veggy pizza square made w/ cream cheese
1 bite size mushroom pizza square made with cream cheese
2 bite size cheese filled triangles
2 Sam Adams beverages
I feel soooooo full and sick, and I hate it. I don't understand it. Those are appetizers!! And that food is not bad for you, and certainly is not anywhere near being close to the amount that I used to be able to eat.
I am also experiencing some mild constipation when usually I do not have that problem.
I cannot figure it out.
I am very interested in doing colon cleansing, but I don't know if that will fix the fullness problem. My logic would say yes, but I would really appreciate other opinions.
