Hi I had a baby in July and have since struggled w/ a lot of anxiety...I would wake up with extreme panic attacks and and almost everyday would beg my husband to put me in the hospital. My heart would race and I would have chest pains throughout the day. I went to my dr and he performed an EKG and blood tests, all were normal. I went on zoloft and have xanax on hand when needed. I have stopped having the extreme panic attacks but feel a lot of excessive worry about my heart rate it still gets up in the hundreds w/ out surges of panic...but I don't know what else to do. I am wondering if it could be subconscious worry that causes the higher heart rate. But sometimes I feel it hits me at times I am not aware of being nervous. I am 24 years old and no one in my family suffers from heart problems. If anyone has any words of wisdom I would love to hear from you. I want to be free from this worry.
Oh and also wouldn't someone w/ a heart condition become aware of it during pregnancy/ a natural childbirth?!
