Falling

Lately, when I'm walking or standing, I feel a little off balance. 2 days ago is when I started to actually fall.
I was standing in the middle of the kitchen ready to grab a plate for dinner when all of a sudden I started falling to my right side. I quickly grabbed the stove to catch myself from hitting the floor.
Yesterday, while I was walking up the stairs before heading off to school, my right leg crossed my left leg making me walk side ways and hit the wall. At lunch I was with my friends. I stood on my left leg with my right leg just a little bit off the ground and I began to fall to my left. Luckily I was able to *****h onto my friend's arm to keep myself from hitting the floor. The last fall that day was when I was moving the chairs from the kitchen so I could mop. I picked one up and after a couple of seconds I was sent falling backwards hitting the baker's rack.
Today is when it has began to affect my walking. I noticed that unlike my normal walking in near straight lines, I would kind of swerve like a car every once now and then. It's also becoming a little more noticeable by my friends. When I was sitting down in my desk I fell into it half way and my friend was able to notice.
There was only one fall today and one semi- fall. In the morning I was telling my friends how I almost fell over yesterday while standing on my leg. I stood on the same leg again and noticed I was trembling. I think it was because I was scared that I might fall over again. The semi-fall was when I was walking with my friend out of the school. In the middle of my walk, I was on my left foot and I suddenly started to fall over but caught myself. The actual fall was when I was walking up the stairs. About 3/4 up I began to fall forwards. I didn't slide or anything, thank God for the rail, but it really shocked me.

Now i'm getting scared of walking. My school is full of stairs and we aren't allowed to use the ramps or elevator unless we have a disability. I'm very scared that I'm going to fall again, won't be able to catch myself and end up getting an injury.

I really think I'm being clumsy because this has never happened to me before and for it all to happen in 3 days just sounds crazy! I'm not sure what it is but I really do need some possibilities on what it might be.

Should I see a doctor if it doesn't stop within 2 weeks?
What do you think is wrong with me?

When I was in my mid-20's I got an inner ear infection, which would make me tilt like crazy and stumble ect. It got bad enough that I didn't drive. An ear specialist is the place I would start. If it is viral, then there is a drug called antivert(spelling may be wrong), which makes you very dizzy, but mitigates some of the issue. The illness can go up to three weeks. If it is bacterial, then you will need antibiotics.I wouldn't wait though, because it sucks royally.

If you are really having trouble walking etc. You should see a doctor as it could be something major eg MS . Dont worry too much probably isnt that but dont ignore this symptom if you are having trouble now walking.

My friend was able to notice me a couple of times and I'm starting to walk slower to prevent falling and also because my legs feel a little stiff and painful. There isn't much pain though, if it were one a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 3.I'm still going to wait before I see a doctor.

If it lasts more than a week, see an ENT for a check up, because if it is bacterial it wont clear on its own.
