Hi All,
I would greatly appreciate some help and an explanaition to why i faint when im out socializing.
First of all I dont have a drink problem and would probably go out drinking every second weekend. I have collapsed a few times now and all of them times have been out when i was consuming alchohol but sat night gone was by far the most scariest for me as i ended up needing 3 stitches to my chin.
I walked outside the club after it was over and there was this smell in the air which slightly turned my stomach, I then walked across the road to go the toilet when I began to feel abit sick then i got a bit dizzy and i knew i was about to collpase and i tried to make it towards the wall to have a rest and sit down when the next thing i remember was waking up in the wet rainy ground and I was also winded like i got a good kick just under the centre of my ribs in the abdominal area (the pain is still there). I was that winded i couldnt even speak when i woke.
This isnt the first time i have collapsed but it was by far the scariest because i injured myself and i still have a slight pain under my ribs. Can anyone please tell me whats causing me to faint and what caused me to be winded and why it would be still sore.
I am a 26 year old male from Ireland who smokes and i was born with a heart mumour but i got told about 8-9 years ago that this heart mumour has gone by my doctor and on the night i had probably 4 bottles of corona and 3-4 double vodkas and redbull. I have looked everywhere and cant find any simular stories and I just wanna know if everything is ok.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and help me i appreciate it very much.

  • Do you usually drink vodka and redbull together? If this is your normal drink and you end up feeling this way afterwards I'd suspect this could be your problem. Drinking an upper (redbull) and a downer (vodka) could give your body a strange reaction. I've heard horror stories about how bad all these enegry drinks are for people and to combine them with booze is a bad mix.

  • Well my best guess is that you do have a drinking problem. It's called binge drinking. four beers and 3-4 vodka doubles is a lot of booze for one night. You probably just passed out in the street and knocked the wind out of yourself falling. Try and stop drinking for a bit and see if that helps.

  • Hi, thanks for all your replys I really appreciatte it but the thing is I would say i knocked the wind out of myself if i was just winded, but I ended up needing 3 stiches by falling on the flat ground there was nothing there to wind me and its four days later and it is still abit sore when i walk or run up stairs. I also understand the whole binge drinking reply but come on im 26 years old and dont forget these were 30cl bottles that i only had four off and I did blackout before after just 1 bottle, thats whats concernnig me if I fainted only everytime i had alot to drink after beer and vodka i would say ok no more vodka or no more beer but it can happen so easily. What i really want to know is the pain just under the centre of my ribs, would this be just caused from the fall or is there anything that can stop working in your body if your out for a period of time. I dont know how lonng i was knocked out for.
