Im an orthopedic resident in my 3rd year ,28 yo male .i have myopia of 4.5 and 3.5 D. which is not stoping up till now.
With deterioration of about 1 D. every one or 2 ys .
Later on I develops photopsia in my lt eye my professor eye surgeon decided to do :
Scleral buckling 4m ago. He told me that I have several tears , degenerations ,detachments{2}
2wk later in my first FU visit said to me :there is another tear .so we ll do chrio and pneomopexy .
3d later on slit lamp he told me that we have to do vitrectomy and endo laser and gas replacement (during this sit he removed the first buckle )
About 2m later I returned to my work and after my first day :I developed a n RD in the site of the removed buckle . I told that this RD involves the nasal retinal quadrant without affection of my central field .a new buckle was inserted In this time{4th surgery }
Now and after my last surgery with 13ds I developed photopsia again .some times I feel a strange pain in my eye .blinking .and tearing (is it uveitis ?) I hate this photopsia very much and I correlate it with failure of surgery .
The other eye have several degenerations tears my Dr. decided to do laser for it .1 m ago.
Now and for the 1st time I experienced flashes .it is very disappointing for me.
Now my Qs are:
1.does this sequence of event is normal ?
2. does my vetrectomized eye will need a special care eg. with labor work ?
3. does flashes after vetrectomy a normal event {it means sustained traction by fibrosis .doesn't it ?}
4.does flashes will disappear ?and when ?and If I should have some treatment for it?
5. regarding the resent flashes in my other eye ,does exo laser can elicit fibrosis thin photopsia ?if so is there is a treatment to stop this progress?
6.what is my long run prognosis .in the meaning of :for how many years I will see ?
Lastly and please, I want an eye specialist "or a higher " to answer me.

Thanks for sympathy.
