For over 20 years I have had pain in and behind my eyes. I have had a cat scan and been to the best eye doctors and neurologists. They can find nothing. The pain is there all the time - an aching behind my eyes, and a burning sensation in the front. My vision is fine and my eyes are not red. I have dry eyes, and use artificial tears often. The cool drops help the burning, but the relief doesn't last long. I have no sinus problems. I sometimes have a burning tongue, too, but that comes and goes. It does not seem to be affected by anything I eat - hot, spicy, etc. Any ideas?

  • do your eyes hurt when you look side to side and up and down? Does it hurt your eyes when you bend over to touch your toes? Is the pain constant or only when you look around? Ever had thyroid problems? If so look up thyroid eye disease. I have had this for 6 years now.
