About 8 weeks ago my left eye started twitching, at first only 5-10 times a day but now more frequently. A month ago my right eye also started doing this. Last week the twitching moved down to my right cheek. I have recently had some significant dental wok done on my right side which I guess could explain the facial involvment, except that it didn't start RIGHT after the procedures. During this time I have also had increased fatigue an nausea. I am a 25 year old female in otherwise good health. What is this?

  • Anyone? *bump*I actually similiar symptoms and this has been going on for several yearsnow. In my case it first started with a facial twitch which my FP doctorprescribed Magnesium. I also went on my own to see a neurologists andhad MRIs done. Nothing found and I didn't pursue it further.I chalked this up when I was in situation where I might suffered some damage to my face which I think in advertenly might have done some nerve damage. There is nothing visible on the surface.Later, I ran into some eye issues (iritis) and that went away, but non theless the twitching (notably my right eye, but happens in both) remains.I also chalked it up to beeing tired. Now, I am with a new eye doctor who is doing some test (today) andis suggesting that I see a neurologist again. At one point a differentdoctor wanted an MRI of my upper spine to rule out stenosis.I'll keep you posted on any more of my findings since we have similarsymptoms. Meanwhile, I would recomend that you see a doctor andmake sure you get plenty of rest, exercise, and eat right. As we getolder these things get significantly important.

  • So I went to my eye doctor yesterday and there is nothing physically wrongwith my eyes in general. She suggested that I follow with my PCP (shecalled it which means Primary Care Physician). The reason for this is forinsurance reasons as in most insurances will not pay for a specialist withouta referral. My next step is to wait for my doctors visit coming up with my pulmonologist.I think he might also be a PCP, but I will discuss this with him as it seemshe is a lot more thorough than your average PCP.I guess the goal is to get an MRI to ensure that there is nothing growingthat might be screwing with my nervous system. I do have headaches thatseem to step from that eye, travel up my head down to my neck.I'll keep you posted.
