I work as a cashier and this past week my left wrist has been REALLY sore, just below my wrist joint in the middle, if I press there it hurts like crazy. When I put my hand down on the ground and try to straigten my arm out by pushing down I cannot get my arm straight, if i try to straighten it more it feels like my wrist will snap? I hope this makes sense it's kinda hard to describe. Any ideas? thanks

  • On the palm side? or the nail side. Some kind of nerve impingement such as carpal tunnel?A buckle fracture of the radius or ulna? Sudden arthritis? Sudden bursitis? I would start taking ibuprofen round the clock, warm moist soaks and if heat doesn't feel good, try a cold pack, (not an ice pack), rest it, ace wrap it (not too tight), purchase a wrist splint from the drugstore, get an xray if it lasts several days.

  • If you don't remember hurting it or falling on it, then try the above home remedies. They might work. RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate). If not go to your doc and get an xray to rule out a fracture.
