hi ive had an issue with my voice for a few years now and have seen many ent doctors.. i can use my voice but with A LOT of energy draining effort.. i cannot talk at a normal volume becuase it goes raspy and whispery .. however from tjis compensatory use of my higher pitch to commumicate i end up with a HUGE impacting side effect neck and throat tension and pain even goes up to around my ears the tension.. im doing speech therapy and am very commited to it but am not getting anywhere :( i certainly know my tension that caused this over years to effect my voice has gone and am peace now but it has left me with a terrible effort in communicating and i am now jobless.. and very lonely .. helpp i feel like as though all my efforts are going on just trying to produce a comfortable voice without pain and tension

  • Hi, it sounded like i had written this as you described everything i hav. I was missdiagnosed for 10 years with dystonia, now im told i have vocal tension. I have terrible dehydration symptoms , nasal pressure, PND, my body shakes and i get so weak talkig. no doctors would listen. i had some blood tests and was told they were normal, when i asked for a copy i saw a few things which didnt look right, again i was told they were normal, so i paid for private blood tests
