I cannot raise my arms or lift my legs to get in & out of the car, tub or bed. This pain came on suddenly, and is worse at night when trying to sleep. It is so bad, I cannot turn over on my side, (cannot lift myself to turn)-- no strength in arms, legs. Pain seems to be coming from the shoulder, hip and groin areas. (I've had 2 previous back operations), yrs ago but nothing like this! Both areas have equal pain. Blood test showed inflammation, percoset & arthrotec don't help. What could this be and what to do for help? Fatigue and mild headaches accompany above. Can't function.......am desperate, please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • More than likely you need to see a doctor before you die in front of your computer. What kind of idiot has serious problems like this and doesn't go to the emergency room?

  • There are vast numbers of people in this country with no health insurance and who can't afford medical care. Unfortunately many of them do die - not out of stupidity but because they are unfortunate. My advice also to the poster is to get to the nearest doctor, or clinic, asap.

  • JUST SO YOU KNOW I hsve similar issues....no shoulder pain, but chronic fatigue, and low back pain ONLY when I lay down at night....I DID go to the ER. not just once but 3 TIMES! you know what they tell you? that they can not treat a CHRONIC issue in the ER, and refer you back to your MD. and then your MD says it must be muscle issues, fibromyalgia, or someother bandaid diagnosis, send you home with pain killers and muscle relaxers, THAT DONT WORK, and you are no better off. I have been to an OB/GYN, a chiorpractor, the ER, my MD and am scheduled now for a gastro dr. We have to seek information from the NET because drs seem to pick one of MANY symptoms, and not deal with the root issue. HENCE THE NAME OF THIS SITE!!!! "WRONG DIAGNOSIS" !!!! oh, and to the original poster, I hope you do find help. I would suggest a neurologist.....mine does not affect my extremities...

  • Blood test showed inflammation, percoset & arthrotec don't help!! To those couple of posters who were uncompassionative idiots to the original poster. If you read her post correctly.. it shows she HAS been to a doctor.. how else would she have had the tests which are showing up inflammation??? I dont understand why some are just so darn nasty. ..................

  • Some ppl who post without reading have short attention spans and unless they can offer support and encouragement shouldn't post @ all. It definately sounds like some inflammation goin on. U may have pinched a nerve even by sleeping the wrong way. A cause of concern for me is your previous back surgeries as scar tissue can cause problems over time. How long have you been taking arithotec? U need to take that over a course of weeks to notice relief if it works that is. I also developed fibromyalgia from injury/surgery we think, so its something to consider. With FMS there is no Inflammation tho but the other areas that are bothering U could be this.
