I really need someone to help me or give me a lead on what's going on with me. For the record I am a Caucasian female, 20 years old and 120 pounds.
Four years ago I contracted mono and since then I have such a wide range of symptoms that have made me feel like a different person. I am always tired, when I do sleep I wake up every 2 hours, I cannot concentrate, my muscles are always fatigued, and I have the worst back pains. The scariest symptoms I get are when I am really fatigued I get dizzy then pass out into a mini coma nap and when I wake up I don't realize I have been asleep for 2+ hours.
Then my mental health began to diminish about a year and a half ago and I was diagnosed with OCD and GAD. I was going to therapy and taking ambien but neither was working so I quit treatment
I have been to many doctors and keep getting the same responses as they test my blood for diabetes, mono, anemia, and iron. all come back normal so what do they tell me? Eat better and exercise more because it is all in my head. Well I eat better than anyone else I have ever met and exercise everyday with a range of cardio and weights so it makes no sense for them to even say that.
I am about to start medical school in a year (you think I should know whats wrong with me by now but I'm just as puzzled) and I don't know how I can make it through four years of grueling schoolwork if I don't get my life back. Please help me.
Sidenote: I have tried a variety of diets including staying away from gluten, processed foods, high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, and meat. Also I take a vitamin daily and extra dose of B12 and nothing helps.
