For sometime now, I have been suffering with usually very sudden onset body aches and major weakness(lethargy). I went to a endocrinenologist because of some testosterone problems but found out my pituitary gland isn't working right either. The doctor is very theral(not spelled right, sorry), but I don't know how long I can wait. I feel like when this happens, which seems to be everyday now, it comes on so bad my body aches and I get so week and actually feel like I'm dying. It is so scary feeling this way, almost as if my body is shutting down. I'm actually starting to get a little scared because it seems to get worse as time moves on.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks to anyone in advance for their input!

I had the same problem and yes I felt very ill for a long time, it was not untill I was refered to a profesor in the R V I at Newcastle that i was told I had Cushings Syndrome, which is caused by a small tumour on the pituitary gland. The tumour was removed and all was well. These tumors are NOT malignant so you have nothing to fear, The tumour is removed without being cut, via the nasil passage under anasthetic. It may even turn out if this problem is in very early stages it could be treated with medication but please DO NOT.......worry there is nothing to be afraid of. By the time I had treatment for this condition it was in very advanced stages and I was fine, it all sounds a lot worse than it seems, I had the tumour removed lost loads of weight an felt a million dollars, Try to look on the bright side and look forward to feeling well again. All you can do for the time being is rest and do only what you feel you can. PLEASE DONT WORRY, GOOD LUCK.......

I have the same issues where I had no push to make myself do normal things. Things I like to do! Felt like my battery was drained and I was dying. I felt like my mother board was failing like in a computer and not working on all 8 cylinders with excessive body aches like an old person, like the flu. I am looking forward to getting this fixed sooner than later but hope I dont have to have any surgery. I left this go over 5 yrs because it wasnt doing anything, and didnt sound serious, but now it is enlarged and out of control causing havoc. I would like to know how long it takes to recover, I have a busy life style with a lot of responsibilities and a fun, full life. Hope this other person is finally doing well.
