Sorry so long!:o I appreciate any helpful comments thanks! The more the better!
Another things that is really starting to bother me is the musle tightness and joint stiffness. Is I sit,lie down or stand in one position my joints seem to freeze up. Like if I am sit and I stand up from sitting a few minutes my knees and hips are very still I can barely walk. This caused me to fall down my steps yesterday. My whole body fell straight down because my joints won't bend. My husband had to help me up. The same thing happen when I sleep or nap. My body freezes up in a postion and it very painful to move so if I do move in my sleep it waits me up becasue it is painful. The tightening feeling is the bones in the top of my feet is getting worse they feel so tight they feel like they might break!. My finger joints freeze up when I type. Despite my ailments I am still going to the gym and doing moderate excersise because I don't want this to effect my weight. Sorry this is so long. Please read the other symptoms I copy and pasted from my original thread. Oh by the way I am only 31!

About the last four months I have been experincing pain, numbness, and tingliness in my joints and muscles. My most sentive areas are my feet, toes, ankles, skins, thighs, hips, knees, fingers, and hands. I feel like the bones in the top of feet are tightening. I am always in pain I never feel relife. I am 31 years old, I am physically active and healthy. The past couple of weeks I can barely get through my workouts. I work fulltime but today I missed work because I was in so much pain. My feet hurt so bad I didn't want to put on my shoes. My doctor just put me on Davocet but it does not take away the pain just make me very cranky.

I also am very sentive to cold temperature. If my hand get wet with cold water and it the air is cold I am in much pain.

I am been to the DR. At this point I am just waiting to see a Specialist. I cannot be seen until May! I cannot imagine 6 more weeks of this. I did take some blood tests. It shows I had Hypothrodism. So the DR tried me on a Hormone but it didn't help at all it just made me gain 13 pounds in 3 weeks! So she took me off the meds. She also gave me a vitamen B-12 shots because my levels were low. I haven't seen any results from that yet. My White blood cells were low and I tested postive for an ANA blood test. That is why she referred me to a Specialist. I was tested for Rhemotoid Arthritis that was negative so was the Diabetis test.

Six years ago I tested postive for Strojens Syndrome. At that time I was referred to a Specialist. I guess I was only a point over the postive level so the Doctor acted like I was waisting his time. I had no symptoms of the disease. It effects your moisture glands. I still do not have those symptoms just the muscle pain. But after doing research I saw that Strogens Syndrom is one of the Diseases in the ANA Blood test.

I had a Vitamen B12 shot a couple of weeks ago I haven't felt any results from this.

  • Well I went to the Rhuemalologist yesterday. He doesn't think that Sjrogrens or Lupus is the problem. Even thought I had a positive ANA he thinks my symptoms are related to a nervous system problem and is referring me to a nuerologist. He thought this because I am having pins and needles feeling in my lower back, feet and legs and also because of the vertigo and cognative issue. Back to square one. I am getting so tired of working full time. It is almost impossible to work and then come home and take care of my 4 kids.

The Doctor gave me a DX of veritgo and some meds I am not sure it this is related to my other symptoms.I have fibromyalgia- and did have an experience with vertigo a few years back which was an isolated incident. I have SEVERE pain in my neck, hips and back and have had no luck with any treatments from hands-on work or horrible prescriptions. You may want to talk to your doctor about everything thats wrong- ask to see neurologists, rheumatologists and the whole nine yards. Its your body and you have to live like this- and I know I live in agony at the age of 23- so become proactive. Look into alternative things like Reiki and accupuncture. Conventional medicine is only good for pain killers in my experience- but that is no way to live. All in all- take charge of this because doctors do not care at the end of the day.Good luck

  • I have so many of the same issues. You can spend years going from one doctor to the next, and getting no help. It's sad, but they are quite clueless most of the time when it comes to autoimmune diseases. I have Lupus, it can mimic so many other diseases/syndromes. Interestingly, all autoimmune problems have similar treatment. A very low carbohydrate diet, vitamin D3 (huge doses), anti-inflammatory meds (natural or prescription), and exercise that improves your health, but doesn't damage your joints. I used to be really frustrated, angry really, because it took 20 years for someone to hand over a diagnosis. I actually walked into that office knowing I had Lupus. I'm an RN. I watched my body fall apart (and my mind to some extent) while I was being shuffled from clinic to clinic. I don't bother seeing the Rheumatologist who finally decided I had an autoimmune disease. He's old school..likes to order lots of tests, and do very little to actually help me. I don't have any answers for you, but you are not alone. There are so many of us in pain, and getting very little help. BTW, I get vertigo too. A nurse practitioner friend suggested I take 1200 of Mucinex as soon as it starts. It actually worked! You may have inflammation of the inner ear (or fluid that is not draining properly). I wish you the best. Read everything you can on autoimmune disoeders, and get a book on natural remedies. You can take control of this......
