Exploratory Laparoscopy end of March. Removed "massive" adhesions and removed liver attached to abdominal wall. Gained 7 lbs. while on liquid diet in hospital. Have continued to gain weight with no explanation. Seen Endocrinologist who said "post menopausal" and have been for 6+ years without pre-surgery weight gain after thyroid blood work. Recent blood test showed my testosterone so low it was "out of range." Doctor said he had "no idea what to do with low testosterone for women." Never had this kind of weight gain. Eat healthy, walk for exercise (did have to end going to the gym due to spinal injection for lower back pain.)
Getting more and more frustrated and depressed b/c no one seems to know what to do. I can gain two pounds overnight. When I say THERE IS NO REASON I'm serious, I don't stuff myself and sit on the couch and wonder why the weight gain. Even my MD doesn't understand and has known me over 6 years.(Also had a colonoscopy/endoscopy ...nothing.)
Have a rather large bulge on the left side of my abdomen as well. Originally sent to surgeon for "possible abdominal hernia!" That's when the exploratory laparoscopy was done.
