I've been concerned, its never been every month. Started at 13, age now 17, just wondering if I should seek help.

I tried birth control, but its quite annoying. If there is any help is there another way besides birth control?

Women are so complex!

  • If you have not been to an OBGYN, it is a good time to see one. An OBGYN can rule out any serious problems and put your mind at rest. You may have a problem or you may not have a problem, only a physical by an OBGYN can determine that.

  • Yes by now your periods should be regular and hence at this point you should be seeking further advice. Polycystic ovulation syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common reason for missed or irregular periods in woman. This issue puts one at high risk of some other serious issues eg diabetes, heart disease etc. You need to see a doctor who specialises in female disorders and have some hormonal blood tests done.. and an ultrasound on your ovaries to find out what the issue is.
