ENT Painful Strange Ear Infection

My throat is swollen with white spots on my tonsils. I have a runny nose, pain and pressure in my cheek sinus cavities, and my ears are killing me. I'm nearly deaf in one ear and the other is getting bad - both with persistant pain that leads to bad headaches. My neck is swelling on the outside right below my ears...I've got a football player's neck. I also get dizzy walking and sometimes just sitting down. My doc looked inside my ears today and said there's a pattern she's never seen before - scaly almost like snakeskin or a brick road. She's referring me to an ENT saying this is beyond her. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I might have while I wait to get in to see the specialist. For now I'm taking amoxilcillian 500 3x a day, nasil spray, and lortab for the pain. This has been going on for 10 days now, and I've been on antibiotics for 7. Seems to only be getting worse. Thank you for your time and input.
