I have had a nagging pain in my lower back for about a week and just recently a new syptom of lower abdominal pain. The pain is diffused to both right and left sides. I went to see a doctor and had a transvaginal ultrasound done. I was told that I have an enlarged uterus (8 gestational weeks) and my right ovary is slightly larger too. The doctor diagnosed me with "possible" PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) and sent me home with antibiotics. The diagnosis of PID does not seem right becasue most cases are associated with STDs which was not a diagnosis, not to mention the doctor said "possibility". I have had corpus lutem cysts in the past and am wondering if this is a more serious problem in result of the cysts. I am 32 years old and have been trying to conceive for over 5 years now with no luck. I am worried that this new problem is going to end all my dreams of becoming pregnant. What is this pain? What are my chances of conception? Any suggestions?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
