I had enlarged lymph nodes discovered by a ct scan behind the chest wall after an auto accident. So I'm still waiting to find out whats going on, I had blood work that came back normal my doc. doesn't want to do anything invasive yet being it's only been 2 1/2 months since the accident. I have been looking and looking for some documentation that lymph nodes can be inflamed from chest trauma to ease my worry. I have no other nodes enlarged.Should I see a lung specialest should I just request more blood work, why are they the only nodes swollen,I have fibromyalgia(don't know the spelling) so I don't know if the aches and pains I fill are new or the fibro I felt fine no different before the accident. This is very worrysome because My brother past away from leukemia 20some years ago. so I don't just want to sit around and wait...Needing some answers...

  • Well I went to a pulmonary specialest yesterday after having another ct scan no change. You won't believe what he siad because I grew up in the midwest (missouri) He thought my lymph nodes have always been swollen in my chest this is common because of the fungis in the soil I also have a scar nodule on my lung these are all symptoms of growing up in the midwest has anyone ever heard of such a thing. Well I told him that wasn't enought to ease my stress so were going with a less invasive aproach and having a pet/ct scan. after that he spent most of his time explaining all of my other symptoms , shortness of breath, chest pain fatigue, due to sleep apnea he said so much I was glazing over... Some of what he said made since theres been no change in my lymph nodes so that said it wasn't anything progresive.
