I'm new to this, I'm sorry. I was admitted to the hospital last Tuesday and released on Saturday. I have been sick for a very long time, intermitedly over 30 years, but ongoing for over the last 2 years that has completely depleted the quality of my life. I was told upon a ct scan that my adrenal glan was enlarged. I have been for many ct scans, mri's etc., have never been told this one, other dx fibroid tumors in uterus, cysts, irritable bowl, to crohn's, and some others in between. Was tested positive for Celiac's. Highblood pressure since they first had taken it at age 18 ( i am 48) have 3 children and was toxemic with my first (weighed 205 at 10 months pregnant from 125 before). I was always bone thin, until about 6 years ago, i started to gain weight for no reason, which drove me nuts and i was so tired and in pain. Joints, stomach, the only good thing, well lets say my husband liked it, my boobs got tremendous! I went from maybe trying to get into a B cup all my life to a whopping double maybe triple D!!!! I don't know what to do with the things! We won't say anymore about that. Anyway, a little aprehensive about going to the dr. today. He did an MRI, and had stat bloodwork drawn, one out of many Metobolic Profile tests. I have lost much Potasium through my urine throughout the years, I was told ALL the above are common symptoms of many diseases only this time upon another ct scan : an enlarged adrenal gland. I thought this might help someone or you out there, even though i was just dx. And I welcome new info. I pray for all with this and any wretched disease.
I am a caregiver to a cancer patient friend. I know what she goes through. My heart goes out to all. I am not looking forward to today's appt. especially after hearing the dr. telling me the best and worst scenerios. Any news you can shed or helpful thoughts would be greatfully appreciated. Thankyou and G_D Bless, joanne
