I'm currenly dealing with a frustrating ear infection. I've had fullness and ringing in my left ear for about eight months now. In the morning I blow my nose and stringy off whitish mucus comes flying out. I'm normally a heathy person, but for the last eight months I've been fatigued and just out of sorts. The ENT I consulted said it was viral and that there wasn't much to be done. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if the diagnosis is correct....

  • It very well could be that an allergy is helping cause these symptoms also. From experience, I would say to stop any foods with dairy, wheat, or nuts in them for at least 2-4 weeks. Also, take Benadryl four times a day 9-1-5-9. See if that helps. I know that this can be very frustrating and it just seems to last and last. My symptoms were an extremely itchy left ear with drainage. I will still get it again if I eat something I am sensitive to. Usually, through the night or in the morning the symptoms come back and I know I have had something I shouldn't have.
