Ear ringing

:(I am going through the menopause at the moment and suffering a whole gambit of problems. One of the strangest ones that I am experiencing at present is constant ringing in my left ear. My biggest fear is that it could be tinnitus. Sounds daft, but have read in an article that this condition is linked to the menopause. If this is the case, will the tinnitus eventually go away, or am I possibly going to suffer with it forever. Any advice you can give would be much appreciated.
