I noticed i was not hearing properly in my right ear about 3 years ago, i did not worry aout it until Sept 2006 when i started to get a lot of pain in the ear, and lots of other symptoms, balance, tinnitus, pressure in ear, twitching above the eye. The balance catches me unawares and i often feel like im falling when im not.

Ive had a MRI done without contrast dye, and just recently with contrast dye, both done in a mobile MRI unit, both showed a negative result. The ENT specialist said he doesnt know whats wrong with me, and to go back to my GP, what on earth do I do? I have been in constant pain for 5 months, from a level of 1 as not so bad to 5 being in absolute agony. All i want to know is whats wrong with me, should i see a different type of specialist, before this, i had not seen my GP since 1998, im not the type who goes to the Drs just because, only when there is something wrong. Im so down about it, i feel like im in a battle with no weapons!

Thanks for your help

  • Could you possible have Vertigo. I have had it before, you loose your balance. You may want to check with another ENT Specialist to get diagnosed.
