I am a 29 year old female with 3 children. In 2004, 3 months after I had my last child I developed my first DVT. It was in both legs and pelvis. I had blood work done and scans, all was negative. I took Coumadin for 6 months. Six months after I stopped Coumadin I got a second DVT. A year later I got the third. None of my doctors seem to know what is wrong with me. I don't smoke or take birth control. I don't have a family history of DVTs. I did not have any injuries to my legs or major surgery. I am not obease. I don't travel often. Can anyone think of anything they might have missed?

  • Did you have pre-eclampsia with any of the births? High blood pressure? Factor V Leiden?

  • Doctors said it is not related to child birth. No history of high blood pressure. Gene mutation tests all came back negative.
