This all started about 3 months ago. I was walking, and about every two minutes I'd get a throb of pain in my upper left chest area. Some days were worse than others, but for the most part I'd get pain in my upper left bicep, every ten minutes. It isn't a debilitating pain, but a little bit more than just annoying.

I went to the ER for it about two months ago, after my arms felt weak. I knew I was probably too young for a heart attack, but it was scaring me so I went. After a barrage of tests (seriously, if you want immediate service at the er, just say chest problems) they determined it wasn't my heart and couldn't find anything blatantly wrong.

The pain went away for the most part for about a month, but about two weeks ago it came back. I just keep getting referred from doctor to doctor, because no one can really describe it.

Things you would need to know: Almost 21
Male
Lean
I do not use drugs, but do drink a bit more than I should.

Besides chest pain, sometimes I feel like my arms are just a bit weaker than they used to be
I also have had a cough for about two weeks, not bad, but filled with mucas and all that good stuff (When I had it before, I did not have a cough so I doubt it has anything to do with anything)

Just seeing if anyone else out there knows what I am talking about

Thanks!

  • I have same pain, sometimes awakens me at night. Here's what it is: nerves running neck thru shoulder get pinched by muscular or even emotional tension. The pinched nerve emits extremely painful "surges" every few minutes. I have to take Tylenol or aspirin and do stretching. (Sometimes stretching worsens it, but temporarily) It takes a LONG time to go away. This all started about 3 months ago. • I've had the exact same thing, but it's been going on for about 2 years now. Same thing, getting passed around and nobody can figure it out. My family Dr, finally has submitted an MRI request for my Thorax and Neck areas (but wait times are long....). Not sure when I'll get it figured out.....I would also appreciated some feedback. I'm a little older at 40, but every test I've had has come back negative with regards to my heart also......When I push on the left side of my chest, I can sometimes cause pain to shoot into my bicep....I can feel any lumps or anything, but it's very frustrating.
