It is a rare disease that I am just learning about.

  • An open mouth is probably the cause of your dry mouth. There are several products made for dry mouth that really do help: oral balance dry mouth moisturizing liquid (my favorite), biotene, oral jel; this are all made by the same company (see biotene.com for more info or call 800-922-5856). There is also salavert (sp?) and some others. Unfortunately I am well aquainted with these products since I have Sjogrens syndrome. If dry mouth is your only symtom, you probably don't have Sjogren's. good luck:)

  • Dry mouth when sleeping or on awakening could be due to sleep apnea. Check with your doctor.
