I am 31 and healthy in all other areas. Every month 1-2 weeks before menstruation I swell to the point where I gain 15-20 lbs. I have major migraines to the point they have made me vomit and have nose bleeds. Heavy flow and major mood and personality swings. I have diet controlled high blood pressure but around my monthly it gets extremely high 166 over 116. I have the joint pain like flu symptoms. Major neck and back pain. Swelling of the feet and legs. I do not eat a bad diet and am only 20-30lbs over weight at the time of pms. I have had these symptoms for 7 years since I had my second child.

  • Yes, I agree with last post. You need a full abdominal and vaginal ultrasound to rule out fibroids, tumors, and cysts ( could be any of these causing your symptoms). Also, I recommend finding an acupuncturist who specializes in Chinese herbal medicine - this is a very effective treatment for women's disorders. To find one near you please visit www.acufinder.com and type in your zip code. Also, consider candida could be causing your symptoms - visit www.candidasupport.org and www.wholeapproach.com for more info Hope this helps.Doctor of Oriental Medicine
